- Accumulator
- A single bet that links together multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A betting line that gives one team a fractional advantage or disadvantage to balance the match and equalize the odds.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting activities.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that allows you to combine multiple markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- BTTS
- Short for "Both Teams To Score", a bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the match ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that requires you to predict the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, loss) in a match to increase your chances.
- Dutching
- Splitting a stake across multiple selections in the same event to ensure an equal profit regardless of which one wins.
- Half-time/Full-time
- A bet that combines predicting the result at half-time and the final result of the match.
- In-play betting
- Placing bets on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, often embedded in the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates the optimal fraction of your bankroll to bet based on the edge and odds.
- Line movement
- Changes in betting odds or spreads over time as bookmakers adjust to betting action and new information.
- Margin
- The bookmaker's built-in advantage, expressed as a percentage, which ensures they make a profit over the long term.
- Matched betting
- Using free bets and promotions to create a risk-free profit by betting on all possible outcomes.
- Odds compiler
- A person or algorithm that sets the initial odds for a match based on data, statistics, and market conditions.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- RTP
- Short for "Return to Player", the percentage of total bets that a game or bet is expected to pay back to players over time.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Unit
- A standardized amount of your bankroll used to measure the size of each bet, usually a percentage.
- Value bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting a positive expected return.
- Volatility
- A measure of how much the odds or payouts for a bet fluctuate over time, indicating the level of risk.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
